The right ingredient for a tasty, dietetic ice cream? GOFOS!


GOFOS™ fructo-oligosaccharides are soluble fibres belonging to the fructan class with excellent prebiotic properties.

An innovative ingredient for fibre enrichment, they are used in a large number of food products to partially replace sugars (they have a sweetness of 0.3).
In ice cream and sorbets they lower the freezing point of mixtures and make ice cream more creamy, without impacting on the glycemic load of the food.
By replacing 20-30% of the sugar in the recipe with FOS, the ice cream will be slightly less sweet, thus enhancing the flavour of the other ingredients, while calories will be reduced.
In addition, FOS allows for a slight reduction in fat without affecting the recipe, making for an even more diet-friendly ice cream.
